Monsurat Raheem

I’m Monsurat Raheem, a graduate of Linguistics with a passion for language teaching. I started teaching as an undergraduate in 2020. In 2021, I paused briefly to focus on my final examinations, but that same year became a turning point — my NYSC mobilisation reawakened my passion for teaching, and from January 2022, I began teaching formally at my Place of Primary Assignment, continuing ever since. I teach Phonics, Reading for early years, English, and Arabic reading, drawing on my linguistics background to make lessons clear and effective for learners of different ages and levels. My approach is patient and learner-centered — I take time to understand each learner’s pace, adapt my methods to how they learn best, and set achievable goals so progress is steady and visible. I also support learners in building confidence alongside language skills.
